Madeline's original field was scheduled for May 14, but due to rain they reschedule for May 25 which was actually a good thing because that was Madeline 6 week mark from heart surgery which allowed her to participate in field day. I went up with her and tag along assisting when needed. The teachers and staff were really good about adapting the games so that Madeline could fully participate and enjoy the fun. Madeline was so excited and happy about all the fun games and being able to have fun with her friends. It was neat to see her excitement and joy. Madeline ran hard until the very end and after the last game she looked at me and said "I am tired." After a few minutes of resting and a yummy popsicle she was ready to go back to class.
