Here is part two to my Family Home Evening Lesson. We talked about how Lehi and his family used the Liahona to sail to the promise land using the picture from the gospel art kit. Afterwards we played this game that I made. When the kids reached the Liahona symbol they were able to move forward one space. When they got to a space with a statment on it, we read what it said and decided if it was a good choice or a bad choice. If it was a good choice they were able to move two spaces ahead and if it was a bad choice they were to move once space backward. Each time we got to a choice we talked about it and if it was a bad choice we talked about ways that we could make the choice and good one. The kids really enjoyed the game and were so excited when they reached the promise land. This game provided a fun way to talk about faith and obedience. The statments I used were things that we have been talking to our kids about, so it was also a fun way to talk about principles that we are working on with them
